Woman Who Fell Down Wet Steps On Portable Stairway Sues Chattanooga Airport, Delta

  • Wednesday, August 20, 2014

A Cleveland, Tn., woman who fell down wet steps on a portable stairway is suing the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airlines and Delta Airlines.

Robin Fetzer asks unspecified damages in the Circuit Court complaint.

The suit says on June 5 the weather was poor and it was raining as her Delta flight arrived in Chattanooga.

It says, "As the plane taxied to the gate, no sky bridge was extended to the plane. Rather, a portable stairway was wheeled to the plane. The stairway became wet from the rain prior to any passenger disembarking from the plane."

The suit says she fell down the wet stairs and suffered severe injuries, including a broken leg.

The complaint was filed by attorney Bill Pemerton of Chattanooga.
