Special Event Street Closures Announced For The Weekend

Riverfront Pkwy. between Aquarium Way and Power Alley, the Veterans Bridge ramp to Riverfront Pkwy., Chestnut St. between Aquarium Way and Riverfront Pkwy., and Power Alley from the parking lot to Riverfront Pkwy. will be closed from 1 p.m. on Thursday until 8 p.m. on Sunday for the Southern Brewer’s Festival.

ML King Blvd. between Broad St. and Georgia Ave. and Market St. between East 8th St. and East 10th St. will be closed from 5:30 p.m. to midnight on Friday August for the Nightfall Concert Series.  The 800 block of Cherry St. will be closed at ML King Blvd. and will only be accessible from East 8th St. There will be limited handicapped parking in the 900 block of Georgia Ave. on the Miller Park side on the meters covered with Orange "reserved" bags.

ML King Blvd. will be narrowed to one lane in each direction between Broad St. and Cherry St., the northbound lanes of Broad St. between West 12th St. and ML King Blvd., all southbound lanes and one northbound lane of Market St. between East 11th St. and West 12th St. , Market St. between ML King Blvd. and East 11th St., West 10th St. between Broad St. and Georgia Ave., West 11th St. between Broad St. and Market St., and the westbound lanes of West 12th St. will be closed from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday for the Village VW River Gorge Omnium.

The right westbound lane of Lee Hwy. between Chesterton Way and Relocation Way will be closed from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday for the Ooltewah Harrison Education Foundation Parade.

Reggie White Blvd. between West 19th St. and the entrance to the Skate Park will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday for the Chattanooga Market.
