Peggy Joyce Smith Henson, 78, of Cohutta, Georgia, died on Monday, July 28, 2014.
She was born in Ringgold, to the late Emmitt and Mary Smith. She retired from the United States Postal Service after 25 years of service, and was of the Baptist faith.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Lee Henson, brother, Kenneth Smith, and sister, Shirley Fetzer.
Survivors include her children, Mike Henson of Ringgold, Penny Elder of Cohutta, and Tim (Carol) Henson of Ringgold, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, in the Wallis-Stewart Chapel with Reverends Nick Forshee and Greg Free officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, at the funeral home.
