Faye Ogle Daverson, 97, died on July 24 in Paducah, Kentucky.
She was born Nov. 10, 1916, in Sevier County, Tn. to the late Newt and Minnie Bradshaw Ogle. She was also predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Claude F. Daverson, her son, Richard Alan and his daughter, Trina and two brothers, Claude W. and Don R.
Faye lived most of her life in Chattanooga, graduating from Central High School and McKenzie College. She retired from the business office at Tennessee Temple University. She was a long time member of Highland Park Baptist Church, where she belonged to Grace Bible Class and Britton Circle.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and John Ross of Paducah, Ky.; sister, Marjorie Ogle, of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Lisa (Greg) Ivins, of Knoxville, Krista Ross of Anchorage, Al., and Rick Daverson of Bay Springs, Ms., and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens Chapel from 10:30-11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29. The Reverend Ray Thompson will conduct the service at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Baptist International Missions (BIMI) or to Cathy Thompson, missionary to Hungary.
