Jeanna Patterson
Jeanna Davenport Patterson was born May 16, 1966, and she died on Thursday, July 24, 2014.
She fought a very courageous battle with cancer and FAP for 24 years with dignity and grace, sharing her testimony of God's love at every opportunity. She was a source of inspiration and encouragement to all who had the privilege to meet her. She was a heavenly treasure and a Proverbs 31 woman. She was very passionate with the love for her family. A loving wife, devoted mother to Janalyn Faith, beloved daughter, treasured sister and aunt.
She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 23 years, Doug Patterson, daughter, Janalyn Faith Patterson, Hixson; parents, Jake and Janis Davenport, sister, Kim (Don) Lepard, niece, Chanlyr Lepard, Hixson, and nephew, Dr. Jacob Lepard, Birmingham; and six nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Lenward W. and Martha Baker Green, Hapeville, Ga.; paternal grandparents, Louie C. and Ora Lee Davenport, Atlanta; uncle, Len W. Green, Jr., Atlanta.
She was an active member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church, Hixson, where she was a member of the choir and AWANA teacher. She served as vice-president of the Parent Teacher Fellowship and homeroom mom at Silverdale Baptist Academy, Chattanooga. She worked as an internal auditor for Provident/Unum Insurance Co, Chattanoog, and CNA Insurance, Nashville.
Her family and friends hold tight to the hope we have in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with whom she is now rejoicing in heaven and someday we will be rejoicing with her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, at Dallas Bay Baptist Church, 8305 Daisy Dallas Rd, Hixson, TN 37343, with Pastor Jason Robertson officiating.
A graveside service will follow at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel on Highway 153, Hixson.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 26, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Dallas Bay Baptist Church, 8305 Daisy Dallas Road, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
Our family is very grateful for the prayers, loving support, meals, and cards offering hope and encouragement. Special gratitude goes to the doctors and nurses at TN Oncology and MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Pallbearers will be Mark Zumbrun, Tom McGhee, Philip Hobbs, Chris Swann, Deni Albrecht, and Ron Bowers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dallas Bay Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
