Maudie Ann Jones, 80, of Dalton, GA, died on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the local hospital.
Maudie was born February 14, 1934 in Carpenter, KY to the late Garrett Carpenter and Luiza Paul Carpenter; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Columbus Jones; and sons, Thomas Alvin Jones and Samuel C. Jones.
She is survived by her brother, Dave Jones of Dalton and his fiancé Debbie Rogers of Benton, TN; sisters, Zona Terry of Dalton, GA and Lola Murphy; grandchildren, Misty and Brandon Hooker; and great-grandchildren, Lannie Hooker, Eric Hooker and Tyler Hooker all of Chatsworth.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Maudie Ann Jones will be held Friday, December 26, at 2 pm. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Pastor Ronald W. Laughland officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service on Friday, December 26 at the Ponders Melrose Chapel, Dalton, who has charge of the arrangements.
