Police Blotter: Boogie Banned At Rossville Boulevard Dollar General

The manager of the Dollar General on Rossville Boulevard said after a recent visit from a customer known only as "Boogie" that a number of packets of meat were missing.

Boogie left the store without making any purchases.

He is henceforth banned from the Rossville Boulevard Dollar General.

Billy Evans of the Big Chill on Cherokee Boulevard said someone broke a stall door off the hinges in the bathroom.

He questioned two men about the vandalism, and they became prime suspects when they took off running.

Mr. Evans chased them to Publix on North Market Street.

One was a tall white male wearing a black vest. The other was a shorter white male.

Cost of replacing the door was put at $200.

At Wauhatchie Pike, an 18-wheeler slid into a ditch and tumbled across some train tracks.

CXS was notified and stopped traffic along the tracks until Yates Towing could arrive and fix the situation.

A woman said she was loading items into her vehicle outside the LaQuinta Inn on Shallowford Road.

When she went back in to get more stuff, someone got her purse from her unlocked vehicle.

One of her credit cards was quickly used to buy gas nearby.

A woman on Gurley Street said someone pounded on her door and jiggled the door handle.

The same thing had happened the day before.

Each time, she retreated upstairs and hid.

The pounder was wearing a black hoodie and a red hat.

Police found a note on the door from a deliverer of bouquets.
