Chattanooga Mocs All-American (2012) Stephan Jaeger finished tied for eighth at Web.com Tour Qualifying school today with a final round 65 (-6). He shot a scintillating 29 (-7) on the back nine to earn the second-best qualification on the tour for 2015. For the 108 holes (6 rounds), Jaeger shot -14, 415 (69-73-70-69-69-65).
The medalist, Brad Fritsch, earns his full tour card for the upcoming season. Jaeger and those who finished tied for 10th or better, are qualified through to the third reshuffle when their respective performances allow them further exemption on tour.

Jaeger was tied for 28th entering the day. He dropped into a tied for 45th after a bogey on 6 and a double on 7 which made him +1 for the day and -7 overall. He made the turn at that number and proceeded on a birdie binge. First at 10 then at 12 through 14. He was -3 for the day through 15 before closing with three straight birds for the 65. The -6 total for the final 18 was the low round of the day and was matched by Cody Gribble, who also tied for eighth, and Sam Chien who rocketed 45 spots up the leaderboard to tie for 54th, two strokes out of the coveted top 45.
Jaeger still makes his home in Chattanooga. He is going back to Germany for the holidays, but returns to the Scenic City in January. I will facilitate interview opportunities as requested for the former Chattanooga Baylor product.
