Peggy L. Dews, 79, died on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga.
Survivors are her children, Clement Bashir-Dews; Roderick Bashir-Dews; Rickey Dews; Gerome Jackson-Dews; Priscilla Jackson -Dews; Mark Jackson-Dews; Rodney Jackson-Dews; Vicki Jackson-Dews and Timothy Dews; three brothers, Robert Ford; John Dews and Tally Dews. two sisters, Betty Miller and Ethel Mae Dews; 26 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, Nov. 6, in the chapel. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Wednesday, Nov. 5, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave. 622-9995.
