School Day will be held Friday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. with 500 5th grade students attending. The students will be visiting different learning stations.
"This is the perfect opportunity for you to see the quality school program that is being offered by this event," organizers said.
Living Historians include WWII Veteran SSgt (Ret) Ray Gray, Gen. Patton (Houston, Tx.), Women’s Army Corps’ Molly Cooper (Dayton, Oh.), 101st Parachute Infantryman Joe Barkley (Oak Ridge, Tn.) authentic WWII Vehicles and camp displays.
The public event is Saturday.
The Opening Ceremony at 11 a.m. will recognize and introduce our WWII Veterans (last year 17 attended). Re-enactments are at 12:30 and 3 p.m. USO Show is at 2 p.m.
The public is invited to come and join other to "Remember Our Heroes."
