In addition, the Hamilton County Water Quality Program was chosen as “Member of the Year” for providing educational programs and assistance to other MS4s. Hamilton County’s program is a co-permitted program for the jurisdictions of Collegedale, East Ridge, Lakesite, Lookout Mountain, Ridgeside, Red Bank, Soddy Daisy and Unincorporated Hamilton County.
The program has unified multiple jurisdictions in a manner that is cost effective, streamlined, and compliance driven; leading to improved watersheds across Hamilton County, said officials.
The program is a leader among other MS4s in Tennessee for fostering multiple partnerships with local businesses, stakeholders and educational entities.
