Hixson-Hixon Family Reunion is October 11

The annual Hixson-Hixon Family Reunion will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, in the Fellowship Hall at Hixson United Methodist Church, 5301 Old Hixson Pike, Hixson, Tennessee 37343.  Visiting begins at 11:00 a.m. EDT and a pot luck lunch is at 1:00 p.m. EDT followed by a short program.  Please bring covered dishes to share buffet-style and bring your photographs, scrapbooks, and other family history or genealogical information to display.

Norma Jean Hobbs will have copies of her recently published 4th edition of the Hixson-Hixon of Tennessee genealogical book available for purchase at the Reunion.  This new edition is more than 700 pages and includes a full index, old photographs, and more branches of the family than the previous editions.  The cost of the book is $55 (plus sales tax).  To reserve your copy for pick-up at the Reunion or to make arrangements to have the book shipped to you, please contact Norma Jean Hobbs, 202 Mountain View Road, Dunlap, TN 37327, tel.
