Chris Odom
Ronald “Chris” Odom, 40, died on June 6, 2012 at a local hospital.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a machinist with Anderson Machine Shop for many years. Chris fought a long hard battle with his diabetes and never gave up. Chris was an extraordinary ball player, and motorcycle enthusiast. He was loved by everyone who knew him and he will be sadly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, LaVaun Odom, grandmother, Thelma Collier, uncle, David Odom, grandfathers, Buddy Odom, Edwin Hayes and Edmond Skinner.
Surviving relatives are his wife, Tish Odom, mother, Glenda “Wayne” Bates, daughter, Amanda Odom, stepson, Michael “Cassie” Wright, stepdaughters, Tisha Igou, Christina Peterson, and Amber Wright, brother, Rusty Odom, maternal grandmother, Frances Hayes, four stepgrandchildren, four nieces and one nephew, uncle, Sherman “Sandy” Odom, aunt, Judy “Kenny” Plemons.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend David James officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, Chris requested that memorial contributions be made to Amanda Odom's college fund.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, June 8, and 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Saturday at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.
