The district attorney's office has dismissed a murder charge against Lemario Branham in General Sessions Court.

Chattanooga Police earlier said a witness reported seeing the 24-year-old  Branham with blood on his face and shirt following the murder of Kenyeta Tramble, who was shot and killed in September at East Lake Courts.

Ms. Tramble was shot in the face and killed on her back porch at 2213 E 25th Street Court.

Witnesses said they saw two black males approach Ms.

Tramble's apartment. At least one of the men was described as being of average height and a muscular build.

Witnesses told of seeing the two men get into a disorder with someone in the doorway of Ms. Tramble's apartment. They then heard a gunshot and saw Ms. Tramble fall to the ground.

Branham earlier served time on an eight-year sentence for a 2007 murder.
