Special Christmas Eve candlelight services will be at Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road, on Monday. Services will be in the sanctuary at 3, 5 and 7 p.m. featuring special music by the choir, instrumental ensemble, brass, and Doug Richesin, with a message by the Rev. Mark Flynn.
In addition to these traditional services, the church will host two special candlelight services designed specifically for families, especially those with young children. These services will begin at 3 and 5 p.m.
in the Commons and feature live music, Christmas carols, a message from Rev. Flynn, and candlelight. All of the children are invited to participate in a live nativity scene. Parents are encouraged to bring their children dressed as angels, shepherds or wise men so they can be a part of the nativity scene sitting with the baby Jesus. A nursery is available for all services.
