Here is the Chattanooga Parks and Recreation weekly Top 10:

#1 South Chickamauga Greenway Clean up Day - Dec. 1, 10 a.m.

Join fellow Park Steward Volunteers as we clean along the trails of the South Chickamauga greenway. We will pick up litter, remove graffiti and more. This will help maintain a beautiful location! We will meet at Sterchi Farm Trail head at 2900 Harrison Pike. Call 643-6096.

#2 Calling all Hula Hoopers - Let's Hoop it up at @ MainX24  

Grab a hula hoop and lets meet up at the corner of Main and Broad Street, noon on Dec. 1. Right after the parade. Parks and Rec and Public art will lead this HUGE event and celebration of much more. #3 Holiday Starlight Parade, Lighted Boat Parade and Fireworks Finale - Dec. 8 

The Holiday Starlight Parade, begins at 6 p.m. at 5th & Market, travels in front of the TN Aquarium and turns down Broad Street, where it will disperse at 5th & Broad. Following the street parade at 7 p.m. will be the Lighted Boat Parade, organized by Marine Max. Decorated boats will be parading on the Tennessee River between the Veterans and Olgiati bridges. The fireworks display will be shot at 8 p.m. from Renaissance Park, making Ross' Landing the primary viewing area. HATS OFF TO PARKS AND REC FOR ORGANIZING THE LINE UP.

#4 Free Line Dancing - Glenwood, Brainerd and East Chattanooga Centers

Shake them hips! Line Dance Classes, from the slide to the cupid shuffle!

#5 Free Ballroom Dance Lessons at East Chattanooga Center

#10 New Year's Canoe Trip on Florida's Suwannee River Jan. 2-6 Outdoor Chattanooga will host a special New Year's canoe trip on N. Florida's

Suwannee River Wilderness Trail, Wed., Jan. 2 through Sun., Jan. 6, 2013. The Suwannee is a slow moving, black water river that flows through miles of quiet, Florida backcountry. The trip will offer three days canoeing and two nights' primitive camping in the trail's special riverside campgrounds, which feature screened, shelters, rest rooms and hot showers. Bookending the canoe trip will be first and last day stays at two Florida State Parks: Stephen Foster and Suwannee River. Cost for the trip is $300 per person and includes all camping and canoeing gear, meals, camping fees and guides.
