Ruth Mae Goins, 79, of Cleveland, Tn., died on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was formerly employed with Peytons and also worked for Pruetts Food Town in Chattanooga. She was an excellent seamstress as well. She was a loving and devoted mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Georgia Brown Ensley.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn G. and Larry Rigg, Ooltewah, Tn.; four sons and daughters in law, James R. and Carolyn Goins, Robert E. Goins, Steven R. and Jeanne Goins and David M. and Jacqueline Goins all of Cleveland, Tn.; one brother, Arvin Ensley; three sisters and brothers in law, Ruby and Winfred Sipe, Elvie Crumbley and Susie and Kenneth McCormack all of Cleveland, Tn.; 11 grandchildren, Mark Goins, Lacy Tite, Dahlia Guinn, Maria Miller, Shane Goins, Joe Rigg, Amy Rigg, Jill Lovin, Micah Smith, Gerrit Goins and Joel Smith; six great grandchildren, Sarah Goins, Hunter Guinn, Aiden Guinn, Austin Guin, Shelby Goins and Allie Goins; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Grissom Funeral Home with Dr. Jay McCluskey and Rev. Tim Cowdell officiating. Music will be provided by Nancy Paul, Pianist. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
