A Dayton Boulevard restaurant owner pleaded guilty on Thursday in a case involving spanking female employees.

Paul Eugene "Gene" Leavengood, 58, of Cleveland, Tn., pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual battery.

He received suspended two-year sentences.

Prosecutor Jason Thomas told Judge Doug Meyer that Leavengood must continue counseling, go on the Sex Offender Registry, have no contact with the former employees, and no longer supervise females under the age of 18.

The prosecutor said Leavengood has a Sno-Biz slushy operation, and he said he had taken fully clothed females to his office on at least two occasions, put them over his lap and spanked them.

He said, after talking with other former employees, he believed the spankings had sexual overtones.

One incident was in August 2003 and another was in October 2004.
