McCallie's Hilger, Otchere Named DII-AA East Region Soccer Co-MVPs

McCallie underclassmen Brooks Hilger and Darius Otchere were selected as the Co-Most Valuable Players of this spring’s Division II-AA All-East Region Boys Soccer Team in voting by the Region head coaches. Hilger and Otchere top a list of 18 other All-Region honorees from Baylor, Chattanooga Christian, Knoxville Catholic, Knoxville Webb and McCallie. Hilger, a sophomore midfielder, scored both goals in McCallie’s state championship finals match with Montgomery Bell Academy May 22 and also contributed a penalty kick in the overtime shootout, won by MBA and giving them the title.
