Chattanooga’s Kaili Phillips was named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.
Phillips hit .429 last week in four games. She was 3-for-7 on the week with all three hits going yard. She drove in five runs, had 12 total bases and slugged 1.714 for the week. She drew a walk, was hit by a pitch and had a .556 on base percentage. She advanced a runner with a sacrifice bunt in UTC’s first game against Furman.
Phillips was 2-for-2 in the Mocs second game Saturday against the Paladins with two solo home runs.
On Sunday, her bomb over right center drove in the final three runs in a 10-0 run rule victory for Chattanooga.
She is hitting .339 and leads the Mocs in home runs (14), slugging percentage (.805) and on base percentage (.490). She has 35 RBI, 21 walks, 11 doubles and has reached base 15 times when hit by the pitch.
The Harrison, Tenn., native is will graduate with her Master’s in Public Health and maintains a 3.50 GPA. She received her undergraduate degree in 2023 in Biology.
Phillips was named the SoCon Softball Player of the Week on Monday.
