Linda Sue Wilson Barrett went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 27, 2024, after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends.

Sue was born on Oct. 9, 1948, in Richlands, Va., and married Lloyd Barrett on Oct. 15, 1966. Together they had five children, Ben (Faith) Barrett, Ruth (Jake) Pratt, Daniel (Sarah) Barrett, Mira Thompson, and Jonathan (Monica) Barrett. They had 16 grandchildren: Preston White, Kyrie Barrett, Bailey (Simon) Liter, Davis Barrett, Aubrey Pratt, Katrina Barrett, Truett Barrett, Thomas Barrett, Abigail Cramer, Clara Pratt, Lennon Barrett, Jacob Barrett, Jaxon Barrett, Ethan Pratt, Kingston Barrett, and Micah Barrett.

Sue lived her life for the Lord and for her family. Her proudest accomplishment was raising her children, and she took equal pride in their accomplishments and those of her grandchildren. Throughout her life, she enjoyed crafting, playing music and playing games with family and friends. She will be remembered by her loved ones for her love for God, her love for others and her warm smile.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, B.F. and Helen Wilson. In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, she is survived by her sister Virginia Sullivan and her brother Gary Wilson.

Services will be held at Chattanooga Funeral Home, East Brainerd branch, 8214 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, April 30, from 5-9 p.m. and again on Wednesday, May 1 from 10-11:30 a.m.

The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. on May 1, and interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens at 1 p.m.
