Accident That Took Down WNOO Tower Costs City $198,600

An accident that took down the tower for WNOO Radio cost the city $198,600.

City Council members were told that was the cost to pay a company to re-erect the tower after a guy wire was clipped by a city Public Works crew member.

It happened while a right of way was being cleared, it was stated.

Justin Holland, city Public Works administrator, said the city had worked closely with the radio station to get it back on the air as quickly as possible.
