Former Tri-Community VFD Member Dies In Car Crash

Noland Stover, 61 and a former Tri-Community VFD member, died in a car crash Sunday evening in Ringgold. 

Mr. Stover joined the VFD in 1977 and became a firefighter in 1979. He served for 15 years, retiring in 1997.

He became a captain and was twice awarded the Volunteer Distinguished Service medal. 

The car accident occurred on Cherokee Valley Road.
