What's With All The Recent Car Fires?

  • Thursday, April 25, 2019

My social media news threads have been full of car fires lately. I follow multiple news sites, all the hip photographers for said news stations. And I’ve got to tell ya, it’s been like one car fire per day. I’ve seen a couple multiple car fire days. Luckily I haven’t seen where there’s been any major injuries.

I wonder what kind of numbers we’re actually looking at? There seems to be no real pattern in year, make and model. No pattern on location or jurisdiction either.

One would hope that somebody somewhere would gather all the data and look for any common denominators:

Where did they get fuel last?
How recent was their last service?
Etc.
Etc.

Is anyone looking into it? Does anyone know just how many it’s been? Asking for a friend.
