Two people were injured in an RV fire Saturday afternoon.

At 12:43 p.m., Chattanooga firefighters responded to an RV fire at 3000 E. 34th Street at East Lake Park.

Battalion Chief Lesley Morgan said two people were asleep in the RV when fire broke out.
They got out of the RV, but they appeared to be suffering from smoke inhalation and were transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital.

The firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, but the damage to the RV was extensive. Chief Morgan said the victims' injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
