Truck Driver From Texas Dies After Semi Blows Tire, Goes Off Bridge On I-75 In Bradley County

A truck driver from Texas died in Bradley County early Saturday morning when a tire blew and he went off a bridge.

The victim was Robert Korte Winn, 69, from El Paso.

The wreck happened around 5 p.m.

at the 21 mile marker of I-75. That is between the movie theater exit and the 25th Street exit.

Mr. Winn was hauling air conditioning units. After the right front tire blew , the semi hit a guardrail and then a concrete bridge railing. The truck then went off a nearby bridge. It landed on its top on Harris Creek Road.

The victim was dead on the scene.

The vehicle then rolled off a nearby bridge and landed on its top on Harris Creek Road.

The truck driver was dead upon arrival of emergency responders.
