Signal Centers' Baby University To Throw Christmas Parties For Participants

  • Tuesday, December 17, 2019

Baby University, an initiative with the City of Chattanooga and Signal Centers, is throwing two Christmas parties for families in the program this week. Baby University will give over 400 individually wrapped gifts to children and provide dinner donated by the Hixon and Chattanooga Buffalo Wild Wings.

Baby University provides intensive case management for families to help them achieve healthy pregnancies and meet family needs.

The program gives 100 percent of participating pregnant mothers prenatal care and links families to both physical resources and improved housing and employment. These services include hosting an annual Christmas party where families receive gifts wrapped and donated by the community. There will also be a meet and greet and photo opportunity with Santa.

The first Baby University Christmas Party will be held in Spanish at the East Lake Youth and Family Development Center on Dec. 19, from 5–7 p.m. The second Christmas party will be held in English at the Avondale Youth and Family Development Center on Dec. 20, from 5–7 p.m.
