BlueCross Chooses Williams As Director Of Medicare Advantage Health Services

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee has chosen Rebecca Williams, RN, BSN, as health services director for its Medicare Advantage program. 
 
In her new role, Ms. Williams will oversee the unit’s care management and population health teams. Her efforts will focus on coordinating and implementing strategies and programs to provide members with effective, high-quality products and services. 
 
Ms. Williams has nearly 30 years of experience in the health care industry, and joined BlueCross in 2011.
She most recently served as manager of coverage review operations in the company’s pharmacy management area. 
 
“Becky began her BlueCross management career in our division, and we are excited to welcome her back as part of our senior leadership team,” said J.B. Sobel, M.D., vice president and chief medical officer for senior products at BlueCross. “Her extensive experience and dedication to high-quality health services programs for our members makes her an ideal fit for this position, and we are pleased to have her in this important role.”

Ms. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and an associate’s degree in nursing from Chattanooga State Technical Community College.
