Veronica Romero, 33, Killed In Head-On Collision On Dayton Boulevard Saturday Morning

Veronica Romero, 33, was killed in an accident Saturday at approximately 7:18 a.m. at 6015 Dayton Blvd.
 
The Chattanooga Police Department's Traffic Division responded to the scene.
 
Kia Rio driven by Corpeio Brooks, 26, was traveling north on Dayton Boulevard. A Volkswagen Jetta driven by Ms.
Romero was traveling south. Brooks crossed the double yellow line and struck Ms. Romero head on. Ms. Romero was pronounced deceased on scene by Hamilton County EMS. Brooks sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries. He was transported by Hamilton County EMS to a local hospital. Charges are pending for Brooks.
