Teen Driver Strikes Officer; Leads Police On Dangerous Chase

A teen driver struck a city police officer in an incident on Saturday night, then led police on a dangerous chase.

Davon Sherrer, 19, is facing multiple charges, including reckless endangerment, evading arrested and possession of drugs for resale.

His passenger, 18-year-old Schuyler Davis, was also arrested.

Police checking out a stolen vehicle tried to stop the car drivey by Sherrer at a gas station. He took off, striking the officer in the process.

Police said he endangered many motorists during a long pursuit.

It finally ended when the vehicle hit a telephone pole on Dodds Avenue.

The pair tried to run, but were quickly caught.

They were found with a large amount of drugs and a firearm.

The vehicle was stolen.
