A large sinkhole suddenly opened up in the parking lot of the St. Elmo Walgreens on Thursday as heavy rains continue in Chattanooga.
Officials said the sinkhole is about 17 feet deep and 18 feet wide.
The section of the parking lot was roped off.
A similar sinkhole opened up at the nearby SunTrust Bank parking lot in March of 2013.
The Walgreens site was once a large ravine that was filled in.
