Healthcare Technology Firm Opens In Ooltewah

  • Tuesday, June 19, 2018

Local entrepreneur Ken Lowden has chosen Cambridge Square to launch his innovative healthcare technology and patient care company, MedX Services.

MedX Services is a total medicine management company that was founded in January of 2018.  The service offers real time medicine adherence monitoring paired with a pharmacy home dispensing and concierge service. Initially, MedX will provide care to patients within a 75-mile radius of its Ooltewah headquarters.

At the core of MedX’s business model is The Spencer medicine dispenser — a telemedicine hub that provides comprehensive digital connectivity between a patient and all of his or her care givers. Through the Spencer technology, physicians, pharmacists and any other professional healthcare provider can virtually monitor a patients adherence data, including blood pressure, weight, and glucose levels.

“Whether a client is in an assisted or independent living community, recent hospital discharge or just needs help managing a complex medicine dosing schedule, MedX Services can handle all parts of the medicine management,” said Mr. Lowden. “We are so excited to be a part of Cambridge Square family. We feel there is no better place for us to launch our business then right in the middle of one of fastest growing communities in Tennessee.”

"MedX brings both technological innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit to Cambridge, and we are happy Mr. Lowden chose our community to headquarter his venture,” said Jim Cheney, marketing director for Cambridge Square. “We’re confident that he will be successful and continue to grow.”
