A group of Chattanooga-based investors led by Mike Kramer, Bart Rolen, and Teresa Whitton announced on Friday that their acquisition of Southeastern Trust Company, the Wealth Management and Trust division of Atlantic Capital Bank, N.A., has been completed.
Mr. Rolen, Ms. Whitton and Mr. Kramer have over 80 years of combined experience in the financial services, trust and wealth management businesses. Southeastern Trust was formed by this leadership team at FSGBank, N.A. in 2012 prior to the Bank’s acquisition by Atlantic Capital in 2015. From that beginning, the company has grown to nearly $350 million in assets under administration.
Southeastern Trust focuses on providing personal trust and investment advisory services in a family office environment to high-net-worth individuals, foundations and special needs clients. The company will continue to operate under the Southeastern Trust Company name.
The company has formed an independent board of directors including:
Ben Brown – partner of Alderman Holdings
Ben Fischer – retired CEO and founder of Signal Energy
Bob Marshall – CFO of Southern Champion Tray
Todd McCain – owner and founder of Cumberland Title & Guaranty
Paula Shuford – owner and president of Herman Grant Company
Jerry Stauffer – retired president and COO of Baker Donelson
Mr. Kramer will serve as chairman of the board, and Mr. Rolen and Ms. Whitton will also serve as directors.
Southeastern Trust will operate out of new offices at the Krystal Building in downtown Chattanooga.
