Large Amount Of Illegal Drugs Found At East Ridge Residence During Search Of Home Of Man On Probation

A large amount of illegal drugs were found at an East Ridge residence on Wednesday followed a check at the home of Brandon Barry Clayborn, who was on probation.

Members of the East Ridge Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit assisted Tennessee Probation and Parole officers with a residence check at 6808 Martha Ave.

Citizen complaints have come in to police regarding the high amounts of traffic in and out of the residence. In past weeks at least, it was stated. Police said there was one confirmed overdose at the location, which required police and other emergency response to treat a patient who overdosed while using illegal narcotics.

Officers located 15.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine, approximately 12.2 grams of suspected marijuana, three Xanax (Alprazolam) bars, and approximately 6.6 grams of cocaine. Multiple syringes were additionally located inside Clayborn’s bedroom. A digital scale was found inside Clayborn’s closet.

Upon a search of the bathroom, police located a black box that was found to contain several bags of suspected methamphetamine with a total weight of approximately 11.7 ounces (327 grams). Syringes, a digital scale, and a pipe were located in a safe.

A receipt bearing the name “Whitney Boatner” was found inside one of the bags of methamphetamine along with an empty wallet. Ms. Boatner, 29, was on scene and was identified as the girlfriend of Jonathan Rudolph Bech, 35, who was Clayborn’s roommate. Whitney Boatner was additionally found to have extraditable warrants out of Alabama for which she was subsequently arrested.

Clayborn, Boatner, and Bech were arrested and charged with criminal conspiracy, manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of Methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additionally, Clayborn was charged with possession of cocaine for resale, possession of Schedule IV drugs for resale, and possession of marijuana for resale.
