Motorcyclist In Critical Condition After Crash On South Crest Road; Police Say 2 Sport Bikes Were Traveling At High Speed

A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a wreck on South Crest Road on Missionary Ridge late Monday morning.

The injured motorcyclist was Brandon L. Quarles, 34.

At 11:30 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a motorcycle crash at 150 S Crest Road.

Investigators determined that this was a single-vehicle crash involving a Suzuki GSXR sport bike.

Police said a pair of sport bikes were traveling at high speed south on S. Crest Road.

The Suzuki rider braked hard and lost control of his motorcycle (high-siding).

The rider was transported by Hamilton County EMS 13 to a local hospital for critical injuries. The driver was wearing a helmet during the crash.

The motorcycle had been reported stolen from Marshall County, Ala., on a prior date.
