Dalton, Ga., Teen Charged With Strangling Kitten To Death

A Dalton, Ga., teen has been charged with strangling a kitten to death in an incident in Chattanooga on Thursday.

Jacquez Devin Fields, 19, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals.

Police responded on Friday to 3716 Shamrock Dr. to back up McKamey Animal Center officers. The officer was told the incident happened the prior night.

Fields said he had kicked the kitten and it was injured when it hit the ceiling.

McKamey officers said the evidence showed that the kitten had been strangled.

The kitten was euthanized to end its suffering.
