Grace Walk
Grace Kathryn Baker Walk, 92, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the family residence.
Mrs. Walk was the daughter of the late Carrie Belle Hanchey Baker and Jonathon Cook Baker. Her husband, Willard L. Walk, her daughter in law, Judy Walk, her sisters, Ernestine Cumbie, Anna Lois Creamer and her infant brother, Jonathon Paul Baker also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Walk was a high school graduate and a student of the Bible. She was very active leader in her church in Florida, the Plant City Assembly of God, where she served as Sunday School teacher for over 25 years. For many years she was a the Ladies Missionary Leader (W.M.C.) for her church in Plant City. She had the gift of hospitality and a servant's heart. She was a caregiver to many including the students attending the Southeastern University of the Assembles of God, where she would open her house and provide food or a place to rest. Mrs. Walk loved being a grandmother and great grandmother and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In Cleveland, she was a member of the Westmore Church of God.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Miolen and her husband Wayne, her son, Ron Walk all of Cleveland, her grandchildren, Sonya Miolen, Dr. David W. Miolen and his wife Ann, Suzanne Mays, her great grandchildren, Brent, Morgan, Andrew and Matthew Miolen and Dylan and Aizen Mays, her 96 year old sister, Corrine Snelling of Gainesville, Florida and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. at the Westmore Church of God with Pastor Kelvin Page officiating. Graveside services and Interment will be on Friday, Jan. 12, in Hillsboro Memorial Park in Brandon, Fl. Casket bearers in Cleveland will be Dewayne Vaught, Larry Osborne, Dr. David Miolen, Brent Miolen and Ron Bean.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Grace Walk's name to the Westmore Church of God Building Fund, C/O Westmore Church of God, 2412 Wolfe Drive N. W. Cleveland, Tn. 37311.
The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday at the Westmore Church of God.
