Three people from Chattanooga were arrested at Sweetwater, Tn., after allegedly walking out with a shopping cart of items without paying, then one of the trio allegedly tried to stab an employee who sought to stop them.

The Monroe County Advocate and Democrat said those charged include  Quwana Young, Jeremiah Nelson Woods and Delicia Brown.

Sweetwater Police said Woods matched the description of the person who allegedly used scissors on the employee in the 9:30 p.m.

incident.

Police afterward found the trio in a dark gray Nissan Altima with tinted windows, which was the suspect vehicle. It was stopped on New Highway 68 near Cleveland Road.

Woods was earlier banned from all Walmart and Sams stores. That order came in Hamilton County General Sessions Court last Nov. 28 after Woods pleaded guilty to theft of property. He got a suspended sentence of 11 months and 29 days.

Woods, 20, was arrested less than a week later by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. He was charged with DUI, driving on a revoked license, and drug possession.
