House Damaged By Fire In Dallas Bay Thursday Morning

A motorist spotted a house fire Thursday morning at 1311 Lovelady Lewis Road.

At 8 a.m., a 9-1-1 call was made reporting flames pouring out of the windows of the home. Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene reporting flames showing on the front side of the home with heavy smoke pouring from the eaves.

Dallas Bay requested a mutual aid response for additional manpower. Red Bank Fire Department responded to the scene and Soddy Daisy Fire Department was on stand by in Dallas Bay district for any additional emergency calls.

No one was home at the time and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.  Fire officials reported $50,000 in damages.
