A woman told police her boyfriend gave her a black eye, then pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her.

She said Kevin Dewayne Daniel also said he would kill her children when they pulled up at the house on Sleepy Hollow Road.

Daniel, 34, of 109 E. 14th St., is charged with aggravated domestic assault, felony reckless endangerment, unlawfully carrying a weapon and vandalism.

In the incident on Sunday, the woman said police came out earlier in the day to take out a vandalism warrant on Daniel after he kicked her door in and vandalized her apartment.

She said Daniel afterward came back to the residence upset at her calling police. She said he walked into her bedroom and hit her in the face before getting out the gun.

The woman and neighbors said Daniel fired several gunshots into the area after walking out of the residence.

Police said Daniel pleaded guilty to armed robbery in 2008 and to sexual battery in 2010 and was not suppose to have a gun.
