Building Industry Associations Award Best Of The Best With 2nd Annual BRIC Awards

The American Institute of Architects of Chattanooga, green|spaces and Sustainability Professionals of Greater Chattanooga recognized the best of the best in the building industry at the second annual BRIC (Building Recognition in Chattanooga) Awards ceremony on Tuesday.

Awards were presented to the following winners in these categories:

AIA Best Residential Design of the Year

o   People’s Choice Winner: Elemi Architects – The Riverside Residence

“The goal of this event was to recognize the best of the best so that when a developer is starting a project, they know who the best architect, contractor and team to work with in Chattanooga and surrounding area,” said Dawn Hjelseth, green|spaces Director of Development. “We want high quality building in Chattanooga and will do so by recognizing who is doing it.”

The event was presented by AIA Chattanooga and benefited the ACE Mentor Program. The ACE Mentor Program mission is to engage, excite and enlighten high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and construction through mentoring and to support their continued advancement in the industry.


Robinson Team Of Keller Williams Realty Ranked Number 1 In Southeast Region

Lookout Mountain, Tn., As Hall Tax Evaporates, Raises Property Tax By 14 Cents; Parking Rates, Fines Raised

With the Hall tax dwindling, the Lookout Mountain, Tn., Commission on Tuesday night approved a 14-cent property tax increase.   The July meeting of the commission had been postponed until Tuesday so the amount of Hall state income tax that the town will receive for 2107 would be known before setting the property tax rate and finalizing the 2018 budget. 1 Person Killed In Single-Vehicle Wreck On Birchwood Pike

One person was killed in a wreck on Birchwood Pike on Monday night.   At approximately  9:20 p.m. , Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the 11500 block of Birchwood Pike for the report of a single-vehicle crash.
