Wayne Arthur, 78, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. 

Wayne was born in Chattanooga on April 3, 1939, to the late William and Betty Ruth (Fricks) Arthur.  He attended Lookout Elementary and Middle School.  After graduating City High School, he attended the University of Chattanooga.  Wayne owned a commercial roofing company.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

Survivors include his daughter, Tammy (Lynn) Ketner; son, Shannon (Rene) Arthur; and siblings: Gail, Nancy, Patricia, Darlene, Bo, and Tim.  He was preceded in death by siblings: Connie and Ronnie.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. As part of the memorial celebration of Wayne's life, his children request family and friends dress casual to gather in his honor.  At this time, attendees are encouraged to share stories of their life and times with Mr. Arthur. 

There will be a dove ceremony at 5 p.m.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
