George Garth

George Edward Garth, 78, died on September 22, 2016.

He worked at Ross Meehan and retired from US Pipe Foundry.  He was a member of St. Matthew Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Brian ((Jacquelyn) Harden of Etna, OH; two loving grandchildren, Nerissa and Immanuel Harden of Etna, OH; brother, Connie (Shirley) Garth, Clinton Township, MI; sisters, Fannie Garth, Moulton, AL; Eloise Garth Jones and Annie Garth Mosely, both of Courtland, AL; aunt, Annie Mae Watkins, Chattanooga; sister-in-law, Elmer Mosley, Chattanooga; special friends, Ezella Harden, John McGuire, Mary Mosley and James Sanderfer; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held at noon on Thursday, Sept. 29, at St. Matthew Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Clyde Sanderfer officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Wednesday, Sept. 28, and the family will receive friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
