A 25-year-old Dalton, Ga., woman was killed along with two of her children after the Jeep she was driving was struck in the rear by another vehicle on Friday night at Cartersville, Ga.
Deneisha Washington was killed along with back seat passengers 11-month-old Octavian Bynum and 2-year-old Iyania Bynum.
Shamya Washington, 8, was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital.
Scottie Worfford, 51, who drove the Dodge that struck the Jeep on Highway 411, was transported to Cartersville Medical Center. He is from of Rockmart, Ga.
Worfford was charged with three counts of homicide by vehicle in the first degree, serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence and following too closely.
He was booked into the Bartow County Jail.
The wreck happened at 11:35 p.m. when the Jeep slowed down and the Dodge was not able to stop, the Georgia Patrol said.
Both vehicles came to rest in the median.
