Firefighters Respond To Vacant House Fire

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a house fire shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday at 4100 Kirkland Ave.

Battalion Chief Lesley Morgan said the fire was in the kitchen. It took roughly 16 firefighters about 10 minutes to get the fire under control. No injuries were reported.
 
The loss was estimated at $10,000.

Chief Morgan said the house has been vacant for some time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
