Chattanooga FC will host USL professional club Harrisburg City Islanders Wednesday night in the third round of the Open Cup.
Chattanooga FC is the LAST NPSL team in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. Harrisburg City Islanders are a professional club playing in the USL (second division.) The winner of Wednesday night's match will play the MLS' Philadelphia Union.
"This is a huge test for us" said Sean McDaniel, General Manager for Chattanooga FC. "We really need a strong showing to progress to the next round.
We'd love to pack Fort Finley and give the Islanders a run for their money."
The CFC are returning to the Open Cup for their fourth appearance—advancing to the 3rd round of play in 2015 (falling 1-2 vs. the Atlanta Silverbacks in overtime). The Lamar Hunt US Open Cup is the oldest ongoing soccer competition in the United States.
Tickets are $7 in advance and $9 at the gate. If you have either a season pass wristband or 2016 home jersey, your admission is included free of charge. Single game passes are available at ChattanoogaFC.com.
