Tennessee Oncology Partners With CMS For Model

  • Tuesday, April 12, 2016
Tennessee Oncology has been selected to participate in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Oncology Care Model for a five-year period, beginning July 1.

According to CMS, “The Oncology Care Model encourages participating practices to improve care and lower costs through episode-based, performance-based payments that financially incentivize high-quality, coordinated care.”

“This is big news for Tennessee Oncology,” said Dr. Jeff Patton, CEO of Tennessee Oncology. “Our participation in this program will support our efforts to pioneer and provide higher quality cancer care at lower costs to patients at convenient locations within their community, close to their home.”

Tennessee Oncology has four locations in Southeast Tennessee, including Chattanooga – Medical Park II, Chattanooga – Memorial Plaza, Cleveland Clinic & Hixson – Memorial.
