Baylor junior Margie Hussey was a top 10 finalist in the statewide Poetry Out Loud competition, sponsored by the Tennessee Arts Commission and held at the Nashville Children's Theatre, on Saturday. A total of 22 students competed in Nashville, each having won their own high school's competition.

Margie placed second to Gershwin Greene in the junior class competition at Baylor, but represented Baylor at the state competition as Gershwin was representing his home country (Bahamas) at a swim meet on the same date.
