Dr. Amanda Winters, on-site physician at Life Care Center of Hixson, was named Physician of the Year for Life Care Centers of America’s Eastern Division.
The award was given on March 17, during a Life Care ceremony held at the American Medical Directors Association Annual Conference in Orlando, Fla. Seven other division and regional award winners and a company-wide winner were also honored.
Dr.
Winters has been the on-site physician at Life Care Center of Hixson since February 2013. During the awards ceremony, she was praised for her medical expertise in assisting residents with high acuity and for her willingness to be flexible with her work hours to accommodate residents who arrive late in the day.
“When she visits our patients, she brings warmth and compassion as she listens to their concerns and fears,” said Carolyn Freeman, vice president of Life Care’s Cumberland Region and interim executive director at Life Care Center of Hixson.
“Physicians play a pivotal role in the care of our residents,” said Beecher Hunter, Life Care president, “and we are proud to honor those who stand out in their commitment and their compassion to ensure the health and well-being of those entrusted to them.”
