Police arrested Jacob Santana, 32, Wednesday for allegedly hitting his girlfriend in the head, choking her, and pressing her face into a bed.
On Monday night, police responded to the 400 block of Shawnee Trail on a domestic assault call.
The victim advised she had been trying to kick her boyfriend, Santana, out for two days. She said he became violent with her and, on the day of the assault, hit her many times in the head, choked her, and pushed her into the bed.
The victim had a large knot behind her ear that was “begging to turn purple,” the police report said.
Santana left prior to police arrival. He was arrested two days later on charges of aggravated domestic assault.
